Tragic End to Amber Alert Search: Missing 9-Year-Old Found Deceased

LAKE GEORGE, NY – The community was devastated after news broke that 9-year-old Melina Galanis Frattolin, the subject of an Amber Alert, was tragically found dead. The confirmation came after the Amber Alert was issued earlier in the day. Details about where the young girl was discovered and the circumstances of her death remain undisclosed. At 3:45 PM on Sunday, there were no updates on the Warren County Sheriff Office platforms, neither about the abduction nor the discovery of the victim, leaving many questions unanswered.

Authorities have not released any information regarding the suspect or suspects connected to this tragic incident. The New York State Police, following a request from the Warren County Sherriff Office, launched an Amber Alert for the missing 9-year-old, believed to have been abducted the previous night in Lake George. The alert highlighted the belief that the child was in immediate danger, a prerequisite for issuing an Amber Alert.

Melina Galanis Frattolin, a 9-year-old with Indian heritage, was described as 5 feet tall, approximately 100 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue and white striped shirt, shorts, and white Adidas sneakers, traveling in a white van on I-87, heading south on Saturday at around 9:40 PM, before the tragic events unfolded.
